Why did you choose to intern at WCHR?

“In the long term, an interest in public policy led me to intern here. Housing is one of the most basic human needs, and WCHR has the ability to provide this need by value engineering old properties to becoming quality, efficient housing. I get a chance to see Worcester outside of Holy Cross’ campus and become more involved in a positive way. This internship I also find unique because they really take the time to properly teach you what it is they do until you can do it on your own. Compared to other internships, the learning opportunities are unparalleled and I look forward to the rest of the summer.”

Why did you choose to intern at WCHR?

“I am excited to learn through practice this summer at WCHR and expand on my knowledge about housing and community development within Worcester County. As an Economics major with a concentration in urban development, WCHR offers me the perfect blend of real-life experiences to apply what I have learned in the classroom. I previously interned at a different housing non-profit while studying abroad in London, and I knew this summer I wanted another internship experience in the housing field. WCHR gives me the opportunity to learn in a tight-knit, friendly work environment where my input and work is valued.”
