WCHR owns and manages rental apartments for low-income families and sober lodging house rooms for low-income individuals. Presently, WCHR manages 32 apartments and 53 rooms. Because WCHR has been able to partner with State and Federal agencies to provide rental assistance subsidies, families and individuals are able to afford their rent. Consequently, they are better able to provide for their families and individual needs, as well as live in a safe, clean, affordable and sober environment. WCHR has also subsidized sober lodging house rooms for individuals eligible for HOPWA funds. HOPWA subsidies (rental assistance) are available for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
